Bertrand Gié joined Groupe Figaro in 2006 to head up the development of its digital strategy.
Under his tenure, the group has undergone radical structural transformation with the introduction of new working methods, the development of numerous websites, and the implementation of a diversification strategy.
Groupe Figaro is currently the leader in France in terms of its digital audience, with 37 million unique visitors per month.
Digital activities now account for more than half the group’s revenues and three-quarters of its profits, thanks to the successful digital diversification of its media activities, data, classifieds, e-commerce, travel, and video.
Since 2018, Bertrand has run Groupe Figaro’s news centre, which comprises all the group’s information-related activities: the daily newspaper, the weekly Figaro Magazine, and the online platform lefigaro.fr. With more than 500 journalists, Le Figaro is the leading French national daily newspaper in terms of circulation, and lefigaro.fr is the number one information website in France with 24 million readers per month.
Before joining Le Figaro, Bertrand spent 10 years at RTL Group where he led various operations in marketing, creation and development of the Internet advertising agency, Interactive IP. He also oversaw the management of RTL Net, the interactive subsidiary of the group.
